The Bateaux Mouches cruise company is one of the leading companies in Paris for cruising on the Seine River, and in the eyes of many, the leading company. The company has been operating since 1949 and operates 15 different ships on a variety of different cruises – from sightseeing cruises to dinner cruises with live music.
Today we decided to open a new section on the “Cruise on the Seine” website that will present user reviews of Paris’ leading cruise companies and see what users say online – for better or worse. We will start the section with reviews of Bateaux Mouches. So what did users think of it? Here are all the results for you.
Bateaux Mouches - The good reviews
Well, users of the Internet gave excellent marks to the service of Bateaux Mouches and noted that it is courteous, patient and professional. The company’s sightseeing cruise, which costs about 16 euros per person, received very good reviews, praising the excellent value for money and the monuments seen during the cruise.
The passengers praised the company’s ships, which are neat and clean with the option of sitting inside or outside. Many recommended sitting by the window, which provides an excellent view of the magnificent view of Paris. Most reviewers recommended taking the cruise at sunset or in the evening to enjoy the lights of Paris.
Most reviewers who chose the dinner cruise praised the meals and the varied menu – especially the luxurious Excellence menu. They also praised the live music of a piano and violin on the ship, which added a lot to the atmosphere.
Bateaux Mouches Negative reviews
Many users complained about the extremely long lines, which in some cases reached an hour or more, even for those who booked tickets in advance. There are also users who noted that the company canceled their cruise without prior notice.
We also found negative reviews about difficulties in finding the departure point of the cruise. Some users said it took them more than half an hour to find the departure point.
Other negative comments we found were related to the audio guide included with the cruise. Many complained that the multilingual recordings were confusing and too loud, and sometimes they could not be heard in certain parts of the boat, especially on the open upper deck.
