Paris Plages - Events on the Seine Riverbanks

Once again, in the summer of 2025, Paris will host the Paris Plages events from July 5 to August 31. This time, the festivities will also take place along the Canal de l’Ourcq and the Canal Saint-Martin

The event will feature lawns, temporary beaches, open-air swimming pools, sports activities, performances, and exhibitions - all free of charge. It will also include the France-Brazil 2025 Season, featuring capoeira shows, a tropical carnival, and exhibitions of Brazilian art.

Main Events of Paris Plages 2025

Tropical Carnival on the Champs-Élysées (July 6) - A vibrant parade with orchestras, dancers, and Brazilian displays along Paris’s central avenue, bursting with Latin color (part of the France-Brazil 2025 Season).

Summer Performances from the Paris l’Été Festival - A traveling street festival featuring theater, dance, and music performances across the city.

“Horizontes” Exhibition at the Grand Palais (until July 25) - A contemporary showcase of Brazilian painting through works by leading artists.

Outdoor Installation by Laura Lima at the Panthéon - A large-scale artwork presented in the open air in front of the Panthéon.

Retrospective of Anna Maria Maiolino at the Picasso Museum - An exhibition highlighting the work of one of the most influential women in contemporary Brazilian art, held at the Picasso Museum.

Dolcevita-sur-Seine Open-Air Film Festival (July 4-8) - Evening screenings under the stars at the historic Arènes de Lutèce and near the river, with a summer film selection.

Swimming Area at the Bassin de la Villette (July 6-August 31) - Outdoor pools at three different depths, including for children and people with disabilities. Free entry with no registration required.

Sports and Reading Activities at the Rives de Seine - Deck chairs, lawns, a mock beach, and a range of activities in the heart of the Seine riverside area, with views of Notre-Dame and the Louvre.

Six Temporary Swimming Pools Around the City - Starting July 6, six temporary pools will open across Paris - in sports centers and outdoor spaces. Admission is free.
